BEFORE YOU BOOK


Everything you need to know before booking your session with Jamier Adams Photography.

I want every session to feel clear, prepared, and personal from the start. This page walks you through how the booking process works, what to expect at each stage, and how to make the most of your time with me.

1. Inquire First

Before booking, please reach out so we can confirm availability.

Send your inquiry through the contact form on my site and include:

  • Your name
  • The type of session you're interested in
  • Your preferred date and time
  • A couple of inspiration images if you have them (keep it light — full inspiration boards come after you book)

Email keeps everything organized so I can respond clearly. To respect everyone's time, please save the big Pinterest boards and detailed idea dumps until you've officially booked.

2. Secure Your Date

Once your date is confirmed, a 50% non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking to lock in your session.

Your remaining balance is due on or before your session day.

If you make changes to your booking — add-ons, upgrades, location changes — your balance will update and you'll receive a revised invoice.

3. Communication After Booking

Once your session is secured, you're welcome to send everything you've been holding onto:

  • Outfit ideas
  • Location references
  • Pinterest boards and mood boards
  • Vision notes
  • Quick questions

Email is preferred for detailed communication, but booked clients are welcome to text for time-sensitive clarifications. This level of access is reserved for confirmed clients so I can give full attention to the sessions I'm actively preparing for.

4. Your Session

We begin shooting at your exact scheduled time. Setup and breakdown are included in your session duration, so arriving prepared helps you get the most out of your time. 

I'll guide you through posing and expression during the session, but the smoothest shoots happen when clients come ready. Take some time before your session to practice posing in the mirror — your gallery will thank you.

5. Proofs & Image Selection

Within 3 business days of your shoot, you'll receive your proofs along with an email walking you through how to choose your edits.

You'll make all of your selections through the Pixieset link provided — that's the same place your final gallery will live.

6. Editing & Final Delivery

Once you've submitted your selections, your edited images will be delivered within 7–14 business days through your Pixieset gallery.


BOOKING POLICIES

Please review these before booking. Submitting your retainer confirms you've read and agreed to the following.

Retainer

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking to secure your session date. The remaining balance is due on or before your session.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before your session for your retainer to be transferable to a future date. Cancellations within 72 hours will forfeit the retainer and cannot be rescheduled. Repeated cancellations may result in denied future bookings.

Late Arrivals

Arriving more than 15 minutes late will result in a $20 surcharge added to your session. Arriving more than 30 minutes late will result in your session being canceled with no refund.

Travel Fees

Travel fees apply for locations over 1 hour round trip from Vernon, CT. Message me before booking to coordinate.

Additional Edits

If you'd like more than what's included in your package:

Extra edits: $25 per image

Rush Editing

Need your photos sooner than the standard 7–14 business day turnaround?

1–3 business day rush: $100

4–7 business day rush: $50
